Overview

Our Customer is looking for a Passive Cell balancing monitoring system for one of his Electric Car models. The client is facing various challenges such as over-voltage, Undervoltage, overcharge and discharge current, thermal runaway, and cell voltage imbalance for its Li-ion batteries. This creates cell imbalance which varies with each cell voltage in the battery pack over time.

Engibrains team designed and developed a system that included Li-ion battery Passive cell balancing with programmable channel selection, battery voltage and current sensing, Temperature monitoring, and protection for high-reliability automotive applications with 14 stacked battery cells. It can be monitored up to 60V and 80A continuous current.
